ED CROSSLEY

Director / Chartered Quantity Surveyor

Ed Crossley is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who founded the practice in 2006. Ed has over 30 years experience as a PQS in the Cornwall area and today is responsible for the day to day management of the practice along with his position as Senior QS and Project Manager on various high profile projects.
As a member of the RICS and with in excess of 35 years construction industry experience Ed is a highly competent surveyor and project manager who possesses a detailed knowledge of construction processes, contracts and procurement routes specifically in the building sector.

Ed has extensive experience of delivering construction projects from inception through to completion including all aspects of pre and post contract services; from detailed budget estimates to production of robust tender documentation, contract administration, and agreement of final accounts; all within strict time and budget constraints.

Through Ed’s experience and reputation within the county he has forged many strong and long lasting relationships with clients and contractors alike, all aiding to the successful delivery of construction projects undertaken.

JAMES CUMMINGS

Quantity Surveyor

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Quantity Surveying
(BSc (Hons) QS)

James joined the practice in Early 2007 and is a surveyor with over 19 years’ experience in the industry, having previously worked on major civil engineering projects up to a value of £100m pounds. James graduated with an Honors BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying in 2006 and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered surveyor.

James is a highly competent surveyor with a thorough understanding of both the NEC and JCT from of contract who is highly respected by Clients due to his commitment and willingness to develop both his technical and commercial understanding.

James possesses detailed knowledge of construction processes, contracts and procurement routes in both the utilities and building sector with the ability to work to strict time and budget constraints whilst demonstrating excellent client delivery skills and forging strong relationships with colleagues.

James also has extensive experience managing the post contract stages of construction project including interim valuation appraisal and certification on both the Main Works Contractor and Subcontractors alike, administering the contract, assessment of variations and production and agreement of the final account.

ANDREW SOLWAY

Quantity Surveyor

Diploma in Surveying Practice (DipSurvPract)

Andrew joined the practice as a trainee surveyor back in early 2006 and completed his Diploma in Quantity Surveying at the College of Estate Management. Andrew is involved with the majority of pre and post-contract work at the practice including measurement and BQ preparation.

Andrew is a highly competent surveyor with extensive experience in the measurement and quantification of all aspects of construction work, possessing a consistent level of technical knowledge, Andrew has the ability to produce accurate and detailed quantities for both feasibility estimates and contract bills of quantity alike.

Andrew is fully conversant with standard methods of measurement and the use of our computer based measurement tools and bills of quantity software.

Andrew has also demonstrated the ability to work closely with contractors and consultants in a post contract role, again within strict time and budget constraints whilst demonstrating excellent client delivery skills and forging strong relationships with colleagues.

Andrew has the ability to produce accurate and detailed quantities for both feasibility estimates and contract bills of quantities as well as look after post contract multi million pound one off house developments.

Andrew is skilled in various computer design softwares and techniques, and also manages the running of computer systems and infrastructure of the business.

MATTHEW GILL

Quantity Surveyor

Matt joined the practice as a Quantity Surveyor following 12 years working as the QS for various local Contractors.

Matt assists the team looking after prestigious one-off house developments, commercial and larger housing projects working for clients and contractors delivering projects on time and within budget.

Matt is a highly competent surveyor with extensive experience in the measurement and quantification of all aspects of construction work, possessing a consistent level of technical knowledge, Matt has the ability to produce accurate and detailed quantities for both feasibility estimates and contract bills of quantities on large housing and commercial projects.

SOLOMON WILLIAMS

Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Solomon joined the practice as a Quantity Surveyor in 2020 and is on a degree course with The College of Estate Management to become a Chartered Surveyor.

Solomon works closely with the team and is involved with the majority of pre-contract work at the practice including measurement and BQ preparation.

CHARLIE THOMAS

Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Charlie joined the practice as a Quantity Surveyor in 2022 and is on a degree course with The College of Estate Management to become a Chartered Surveyor.

Charlie works closely with the team and is involved with the majority of pre-contract work at the practice including measurement and BQ preparation.
